We're hiring a Red Seal Carpenter to support residential renovation and addition projects across Greater Victoria. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their craft, works well with a team, communicates respectfully, and can adapt when renovation projects change or reveal surprises behind the walls. The right person will bring strong technical ability, a positive attitude, and a willingness to support 19K's standards around quality, safety, and client care.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete residential renovation and addition work to a high standard
• Perform framing, finishing, repairs, installations, and general carpentry tasks
• Read and interpret plans, drawings, sketches, and scope documents
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
• Communicate professionally with clients, teammates, apprentices, and subtrades
• Identify issues early and bring forward solutions
• Support apprentices and junior team members when needed
• Follow safety procedures and company standards at all times
• Take ownership of work and fix issues when something is not right

Qualifications

• Red Seal Carpenter certification required
• Residential renovation experience preferred
• Reliable transportation to travel between job sites
• Legally entitled to work in Canada
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working on job sites across Greater Victoria
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
• Flexible, solutions-focused, and able to adapt when project plans change
• Respectful, inclusive, and professional attitude
• WHMIS, Asbestos level 1, Fall Protection, and First Aid certifications are considered assets. 

Pay and Benefits

• Full-time, permanent employee position
• $37-$50/hr depending on experience
• Monday to Friday schedule with paid statutory holidays off
